In 2003 American Fork Police designed and constructed a new facility. Two key considerations in design were evidence and police records storage areas . With the complexity of cases today as much evidence as possible must be secured and records continue to grow. With emerging technologies the evidence must also be stored for a longer period of time that in the past. American Fork Police used high-density moveable shelving from salt city records to maximize the storage in their new evidence and records rooms. High-density moveable Space Saving Shelving style shelving by Richard Wilcox is the most space efficient solution available today. As compared to traditional shelving systems it typical allows two (2) to three (3) times the storage.
