J 6 Lean-Lifts 2300-825 to the healthcare company Novo Nordisk.

Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company with 89 years of innovation and leadership in diabetes care. The company also has leading positions within haemophilia care, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy. Novo Nordisk is world’s largest producer of insulin. Headquartered in Denmark, Novo Nordisk employs approximately 32,700 employees in 75 countries, and markets its products in more than 190 countries.

The company planned to merge several small storage facilities into one big one. They also wanted to replace an automated satellite crane warehouse, due to its very long handling times, and to renovate the warehouse.

The project is a combination of mobile pallet racking and 6 Lean-Lifts all integrated with the software Shark. The Lean-Lifts will be used to store prescriptions and labels for all groups of medications. Thanex had to compete against Kardex and another racking company. The order was won on quality aspects and good sales work.

Already in 2011, Novo Nordisk had invested in Lean-Lifts in the U.S. and in China including the innovative new Cold-Cell refrigerated storage unit. The Cold-Cell is the first automated storage and retrieval system of its kind, providing refrigerated and frozen storage for medications, medical samples and supplies, chemicals, adhesives and foodstuffs.
