Spaceguard Products offers a versatile mesh enclosure, the SG2000, that is specifically designed to securely store products, both large and small. These wire mesh enclosures are specifically engineered for high security applications.

The Feature: Each SG2000 is composed of a heavy-duty woven and welded wire mesh, with expanded metal and a solid infill option. Each door comes fully equipped with sliding doors that rest on two-wheel ball bearing trolleys, an enclosed track, and a door guide and lock keeper, keeping all stored items fully secure.
The Advantage: The SG2000 can be easily customized to fit the customer’s needs, each and every time. The SG2000 is also very simple to install as it comes with panels that stack and bolts that are placed between each of the posts.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
The SG2000 is a versatile product, composed of woven and welded wire mesh, with expanded metal and solid infill options. Each SG2000 can be customized to fit the user’s specific needs. As an example, tapered and special-sized panels are available for window, stairway, and machine guarding. This mesh enclosure can also accommodate gates that are extra-large, and has the option for electronic access control only. Depending on the user’s height requirements, posts are available in extended heights and come with minimal sweep space.
Each panel on the SG2000 is constructed with 10-gauge wire, and woven in 1.5” diamond mesh. The flat stiffener bars are ¼” x ¾” and are securely welded to angle frames (with welded joints) that are 1.25” x 1.25” x 1/8”. The panels are available in 6-gauge welded wire and have expanded metal and solid infill options in various sizes, in order to meet all types of security requirements. Additionally, each panel is equipped with slotted holes for quicker mounting.
Each panel is vertically stacked between tube posts that are 2” square and composed of 14-gauge steel, and they are bolted through the secured side of the enclosure for enhanced security. Each post also comes complete with a series of 3/8” diameter holes so they are able to easily accept mounting hardware. Panel and door hardware are accommodated by line/run posts that are drilled through two sides. Additionally, corner, door, and tee posts are drilled through on all four sides as well. Each base plate is 2” x 7” x ¼” and composed of steel flat stock that is welded to posts to ensure a secure floor connection. 4” x 7” oversized base plates are also used on extended height posts. Each adjustable corner post uses 3” hinges that are welded to each of the posts in order to create non-right angles.
The SG2000 uses angle nuts and bolts as well as heavy-duty 5/16” flanged hex head throughout it. This provides panel-to-panel and post-to-post connections. Wedge anchors that are 3/8” are also used to provide the most floor and wall connections possible.
Doors are available as hinged, bi-parting hinge, slide, bi-parting slide, and tunnel. All doors are composed of the same materials and come in a wide variety of arrangements and heights. Each sliding door comes complete with two-wheel ball bearing trolleys, an enclosed track, a door guide, and a lock keeper. Additionally, there are several types of locking options to choose from.
Each slide-up service window is 24” wide x 21.5” high with an opening that is 23.5” x 12” deep and features a 6-gauge shelf that is centered in the opening.
The finish is a standard quick cure, factory applied gray powder coat that is two-stage phosphate washed. It is both weather and UV resistant. For a small fee, others colors are available in black, yellow, red, blue, green, and white. For humid or corrosive environments, there is also the option of a hot dipped galvanized finish or Plascoat.
The SG2000 can used for a wide variety of high security and safety applications, such as reserve center storage for military tactical equipment. The SG2000 also qualifies as physical security for the DEA for controlled substances that are Schedule III-V, as well as all various types of evidence rooms and detention cells. Each unit is 100% customizable to fit the user’s exact needs. Special-sized panels are available to work around such obstacles as windows, stairways, and for machine guarding. These units are also designed to accommodate extra-large gates and come complete with electronic access control and ADA lock options. Each post is available in extended heights and provides minimal sweep space.
